Rocking it out

Can you imagine my excitement when I was asked to do a baby room with a rock ‘n roll theme!? I was beside myself with anticipation. It’s been a dream of mine to do something musical, so I enjoyed this project immensely!  The wall is slanted as the nursery is situated in the loft of a two story home. That made it tricky to paint, but I’ve always loved a challenge 🙂

I lined the image with black and finished it off with silver highlights to bring some glam to the artwork. My client is ecstatic and cannot wait to rock little Joshua to sleep in his room.

Out with the old, in with the new!

We have this picnic table outside that has just seen waaaay too much in its lifetime. It’s time to give it a second lease on life! I attended an Annie Sloan workshop the other day and I am totally in love with the product. So here is my first attemp at making something old pretty again.

And after:

I painted the bottom layer deep Burgundy, and followed with Provence and shades of white and grey.

And I am very pleased with the results 🙂

Spring has sprung

flowers

But only in my lounge! It’s miserable and dull outside. I had no choice but to wrap myself in make-believe spring! These will look amazing as Black and red poppies too. They really make a bold statement – the more the better!

Holey Judysnoods

snood

This adorable, light weight snood is perfect for protection from chills. I’m making one in every shade for myself, that’s for sure! This yarn is available in the most incredibly vibrant colours you can imagine! I’m hooked on the beautiful patterns that emerge as you go. Drop me a line if you would like to know about available colours.

Bee-yootiful!

I’m buzzing with excitement about this ridiculously cute bee mobile. These bees are just as cute in a cluster of 6 or 8 as they are on their own! Bee mobile
