My house tends to become a smartie box of colour, canvas and craft. I decided that it was time to spruce up the area next to our open plan kitchen. I was going to do a full mint chevron, but decided to go for grey as it is more versatile. I added a mint accent at the bottom which gives it a great twist!

Starry, starry night
Fancy a ride in a hot air balloon?
I was able to feed my current grey and yellow obsession over the past weekend. My client is going for a neutral look – shades of grey and white with splashes of yellow! We were both very excited about doing balloons, but didn’t want it to turn out too baby-ish.
I started by masking out the balloons and drawing the stars. The stars were too small to mask and just painting around them freehand was the best option. I only had 1 day to complete this wall.
After laying down 2 coats of grey paint, I airbrushed a shadow for each balloon. The darker shade behind the balloons gives the illusion that they are floating just off the wall. I’m really happy with how they turned out! What a stunning theme.
